" And then there is the most dangerous risk of all, the risk of spending your entire life not doing what you want, on the bet that you can buy yourself the freedom to do it later"
I'm a 53 year old, unmarried, father of one, living in Northeastern Ohio. The majority of my working life has been spent in the machinery industry, either as a Journeyman Machinist, or in machinery sales and service. I am also a Rider Coach for Motorcycle Ohio , where on the weeknights and weekends I coach a basic riders course.
I've been riding motorcycles, in one form or another since I've been about 14 years old, starting with my first 50cc mini bike. Over the years, I've dabbled in nearly every brand of motorcycle but have always seemed to gravitate back to BMWs, a taste I no doubt acquired from my German father.
In 2018, I plan to adventure on my longest motorcycle journey to date, where I plan to ride from Ohio to the most northern points accessible by road in both Canada and the USA. If it all plays out, I would also like to touch wheels in Mexico by taking the long way home. Of course, it goes without saying, there would be no way for me to realize this trip without my employer allowing me to "bank" my paid vacation days over the years, and granting me this 90 day hiatus from my duties. For this, I owe them my unlimited gratitude.
Further information on this adventure can be found at the About The Trip link on this website, where you can learn a bit more about these remote locations, keep updated with my trip blog, or even follow my path via live satellite tracking.
Thanks for stopping in!
